Located approximately 400 miles west of Mahe Island is the Farquhar island group. Though they receive few visitors, the sparse local population is welcoming and hospitable to those who do make their way to Farquhar. Travelers can also see Hawksbill and green sea turtles that come to nest on the atoll, as well as several bird species spread around the small islands.
