Sermilik is a large fjord on the west side of Ammassalik Island. Nearby is Sermilik Station, where glaciology researchers go to study the Mittivakkat Glacier. Aside from the staff that lives seasonally at the station, the nearest settlement is Tasiilaq. If you go for a visit, it will take around a day to walk there. Other closer hiking routes exist near Sermilik as well, so travelers can take their pick on which direction to explore.
