Stromness is a quaint seaport with a busy harbor. The town is clustered along the historic winding streets, including shops and homes built from local stone. Stromness plays host to the annual Orkney Folk Festival every May, when pubs and and venues are full of music and performances all weekend long. Visitors to the town will also want to visit Stromness Museum and Pier Arts Centre.
