Wallaroo is a port town on the western side of South Australia, about 100 miles north of Adelaide. The city is known for its copper mining industry. The town stopped copper mining in the 1920s, but the old copper smelter is still a site that many tourists come to see when in town. In the past few decades, beachfront development has exploded due to the greater demand for tourist locations.
